Youth Toolkit
Connected 2 Collaborative Action
Youth Advisory Councils (PAC)
Be at the table, at the center of decisions that impact you. The YACs are designed to put leadership and decision-making power back in the hands of youth, and to grow the impact of youth by connecting them to a broader network of systems change makers. YACs are also designed to help further develop character development skills in youth and young adults.
The System of Care Youth Advisory is open to all youth that have or are at risk for severe emotional, mental, and/or behavioral challenges and are ready to step up and make a difference for others. Contact Shelnise Ellis at sellis@visionforchildren.org to get connected.
Civic Engagement
Youth participate in group discussion that involve opportunities to leverage their voices throughout the community in regards to mental health stigma and social and emotional wellness throughout communities. Collaboratively the group identify topics that they feel are relevant to the youth population throughout various communities, which also involves them being involved in community organized events. Contact Shelnise Ellis at sellis@visionforchildren.org to learn more.
