The St. Louis community works in collaborative strategic action to address priority needs of the region's children through the St. Louis Metropolitan Children's Agenda. Representatives of some 300 children's agencies and community organizations serve voluntarily in Children's Agenda work groups.
The Children's Agenda encompasses over 25 strategies covering a full range of child well-being needs, including Family Support, Early Childhood Development, Maternal and Child Health, Quality Education, Youth Development, Safe Neighborhoods and Strong Communities, and Advocacy/Civic Engagement.
For each strategy, a work group plans and implements programs and activities targeting the issue identified in the strategy. The Children's Agenda is promoting greater collaboration and cooperation among agencies in the region, helping us to make better use of resources and work strategically as a region to meet the needs of at-risk children.
