Join with national experts and area civic, government and nonprofit leadership during this important daylong conference as we explore strategies for increasing community investment in our most vital resource - our children – while also promoting economic development in the St. Louis region. The program will feature:

• Robert Dugger (bio), managing partner of Hanover Investment Group and chair of the Partnership for America’s Economic Success, a coalition of business leaders, policy experts and economists dedicated to improving our nation’s economy through smart investments in young children. He will present the keynote address.
• Civic Strategies, Inc., an Atlanta-based consulting firm that helps cities and regions design and manage decision-making processes to deliver effective solutions. They will facilitate a panel discussion of civic leaders along with afternoon visioning and planning breakout sessions. They intend to end the day with tangible action strategies.
• Community Leader Panel, including Mr. Dugger, Patrick McKeehan of the Southwestern Illinois Leadership Council, Ellen Sherberg of the St. Louis Business Journal, and Michael Yarbrough of the St. Louis Rams.
• Presentation of Investing in Children Award to U.S. Senator Christopher Bond

You also will hear an update of the St. Louis Metropolitan Children’s Agenda, the regional collaboration involving 300 agencies in over 20 action strategies benefiting children. Programs developed through the Children’s Agenda impact tens of thousands of children annually.
